Sex and Gender Based Health
Sex and Gender-Based Medicine (SGBM) applies the science of biological, environmental, and social influences on health and takes the whole person into consideration. SGBM helps practitioners provide appropriate care. Students will learn about sex and gender differences and their implications for medical education. The Science Runway Sex and Gender Medical Education (SGME) course is a 6-week program to enhance high school students' potential to learn about Sex and Gender considerations in medical diseases and healthcare considerations.
