What do you do every day?
I research pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices and disease and create medical content for promotional purposes.
Why do you love it?
I am constantly learning. I love the challenge of learning about something totally new and explaining it to others that is clear and comprehensible. There is constant change and variety of the projects.
What were your moments of fear and challenges in your career?
I have worked as a freelance medical marketing writer as well as a fulltime medical marketing writer. The greatest challenge was the first seven years of my career when I didn't have confidence that I could always produce high quality content on demand.
What are some of the latest innovations in science that you are most excited about?
I am most excited about personalized medicine for cancer care. It is exciting how genetics testing can provide information on which patients will respond to a particular type of therapy.
